* I've been gone for almost 3 YEARS in the SRB2 MB, so I don't know what major things happened while i was away

* But i have been in the SRB2 Discord for a long time already, but i mostly camp the #spriting channel....

* because my new personal project from 2025 is a Minecraft Texture Pack! It's still not released but i have made much much progress on it, here's my favorite BLOCK, ITEM, and MOB texture from it!

* Besides that... i don't really have anything else

* You probably don't care but I would say that the reason i disappeared was due to burnout and other things

This dude, he's Kitsunami the Fennec, from IDW comics

Among the changes that has happened is the possibility to apply that Minecraft texture pack with them at the same resolutions as they are in that game (if you want to keep things authentic if possible).

The reason? The increasing use of UDMF features since its initial implementation (which now includes texture scaling). Though your mileage may vary since the ability to align scaled textures may not be precise in cases if you use Software,

and besides me we got elfilin, x sonic, chaotix, stephchars third and fourth (and fifth?) characters, and many other things.

A lot of stuff.
Also you don't know me, but I got into mapping in '24 and am still experimenting with a thousand different ideas at once to this day.

SRB2 now has scaling attributes for textures (which is mainly used now with Ultimate Zone Builder). This is actual scaling, so it can be individually set for linedefs and sectors. In UZB, setting larger values will shrink the textures and setting smaller values will grow them. This is why I brought that up, because the game historically expected textures to be created on the idea that one pixel is one fracunit (now the size in-game can be one half fracunit for every pixel, 4 fracunits for every pixel, any size you want). Though all of this only applies for maps that are in UDMF format, which would likely exclude the vanilla campaign maps for now.
