Master Server not connecting.

Oh, I did try it before and it didn't work, now it just worked for the first time probably because of something I did there, thanks! is that all I needed to do now? do I need to test if I can host a public server?

Standard server works but an error appears with the failing to contact the master server but somehow still works. also My friend got a new error trying to join via IP

nvm but yesterday the master server worked even with the error now it doesn't

SRB2 2.2.15 raised this error for some people and even me, but that isn't affecting your hosting, your server still shown in both ingame server list and web server list. Just don't try to host with colored servername since this will seriously do some trouble "connecting to the master server"

The server's name has no effect on this error because this error is related to DNS resolution which happens way before the server name is registered at the master server.

However, it does help to know that the master server error isn't specific to OP, so thanks for that!

Try it. I used exec servername.txt that executed servername "ßPanda's CTF ©Server". It will make my server shown in the web master server in all sides (anybody taking my IP from there and join the server won't be connected), and ingame server list only in my side (colored, but in the web master server isn't). Plus typing listserv won't show your server which at least defines that my server isn't working (If you tried to host a non-colored name server, then shutdown and quickly rehost with colored name server, it will now show in listserv your old server name, the non colored one, till you shutdown and it disappears after some time. And you are still unconnectable anyway) You can still connect yourself locally but people from public are unable to.

I believe you, but still, OP quotes a "couldn't resolve host" error when connecting to the master server, which isn't affected by any of this stuff. What you're describing happens way after DNS resolution. OP can't connect to the master server at all. It's a different issue.
 
My friend still can't join me via IP when I host online he can only join me if I host an online one, is there a way to fix this?

Does my friend need to type my actual IP address in order to join? cus i gave him my pc one

We can still try to figure out if there's something wrong with your Internet connection though.
