Tell me your biggest pet peeves

This can count as a borderline rant, but it's still small enough to be a pet peeve so ye... And it's indeed one of my biggest pet peeves.

So in Sonic games there's a move called "Insta-shield" and the way it works is that when you press jump mid-air, you become invincible to most hazards for 14 frames, so around 0.24s. Which is a comically small window. Yet it's possible to use effectively with enough skill which makes it a good example of a precise yet rewarding move...

And Sonic Team decided to nerf the time window in most modern versions of the classic Sonic games.

And this genuinely makes me "smoke out of the ears" angry, because why would anyone think, that nerfing a move which lasts for A 1/4 OF A SECOND was a good idea... This is such a small issue because that move is unavailable without using cheats either way. But why?! They made a 14 frame move into like a 8 frame one! It would be around 0.13s in real time, and mind you that all Sonic game run in 60 fps. So you have 8 frames out of 60 frames to exit the hurtbox of the hazard or you'll have to say goodbye to all of your 200 rings you had on yourself...

People tend to say that the Insta-shield is useless. Even in the original 14 frame iteration. And as a person that's actually pretty good with the original version of that move, I can confidentially say, that this move now is INDEED useless! :'D (At least we have actually usable and useful insta-shields in SRB2...) And this small thing is enough for me to completely drop my whole run the moment this move fails me. (Because it shouldn't fail me because I actually have the skill to use it, but they nerfed it! RAHHHH! DX<)
