As For The Flowers,
I Saw Them Awhile Ago With The Green Hill Thread, They Look Really Good.
I Just Don't Think They Fit In SRB2.

I Think It's The Sprite Dithering, Which SRB2 Doesn't Really Use.
Still Though, Pretty Well Done, neat.
I would use color quantization and turn off dithering. (I use paintdotnet)

Thanks, It Also Kinda Already Has. (Kinda)

I honestly just wanted to recreate the smooth color fade effect that the original SA2 models have, and I felt that doing that gradient-dither thing was the closest thing I could get to with my skill set.

I first did it with the sunflower and it looked pretty cool to me, so I decided to roll with it. And classic GHZ sprites are made to look like early 3D models, so I felt like using dither which was widely used in old 3D pre-rendered games would fit that style.

And to me the SRB2 style is just a suggestion, not a rule, I use it when it fits, for example look at that little spikes that the base of the sunflower has, the I used the SRB2 style here because it felt natural, both with the base of the purple flower. But I used the graidient-dither on places when they fit the most. So on places that have color shading on them. So it’s like a hybrid of some kind. •3•

I also use paint.net, but I never heard of it. (Also I use dither mainly because I got experience with it by working on my Baldi stage and because it looks pretty cool with the specific texture it gives off. :>)

So my main reason for using this style is because it looks cool to me. :3

It does look cool, I was just explaining how to get the non-dithered look.
Also here's where to find the dithering feature in paint.net.

I’ll remember to try it out the next time I’ll have a chance. (But I still prefer the pixely texture dither tends to have. It’s really pretty in my opinion. Especialy with all the different dithering algorithms and stuff. It just makes my brain happi. :>)
