Hello everyone. Hope your doing fine today.

I am announcing that I'll be temporarily leaving the SRB2 Community as a whole tommorow morning. If some of you are shocked by this and want to know why am I doing this, listen this up.

I remember it like yesterday when I went on a hiatus in mid-2023. Since then, a lot has happened to this community. Some of the most-respected people of the server started retiring left and right, popular mod/content creators are being banned for despicably inappropriate manners, people are constantly debating and talking about same topics at a constant rate etc. Things are no longer how it once used to be when I first joined in late-2022, and the reflection seen today is confirming that.
I know for a good fact that some people are here are some of the nicest people I've ever met (@Aquavine , @SonicHeroX45 , @cheeseboi. and such) and some cannot contact me anymore if I leave, but this is how the things go. I have a lot of things to go through in my personal life, and there are other, much bigger interests and priorities to me virtually via Reddit and Discord. Some things never have space to stay in our minds, don't they?
This is all I will say personally. If anyone wishes to contact me, my Discord username is gingersrb2_redsrb2. (don't forget to include the dot), and I will try to reply as early as I can.

Damn. Well, hope your break is fruitful. You were one of the only people who seemed interested in my stuff and was supportive since the beginning. Times change, I suppose. It's certain been quite a trip with many well-known developers and other members leaving the community. The few things that kept it together like the OLDC seemingly are seemingly on indefinite hiatus too (I wouldn't know for sure since it seems like quite a bit happens behind the scenes). I myself need to keep pressing on. I've done quite a bit here, and I ain't about to stop now.

Glad to know that this is only temporarily. People can leave completely with their reasons.
 
Thanks for the support on practically all of my projects up until now. You’re in my golden league of supporters and I suppose also friends(...? I’m not really sure when I should consider someone a friend myself so I just wait for a confirmation from the other side.) on this forum. In other words, you’re the type of person that I’ll remember for a long time even after leaving this community in some far future.

Ah. Well, this is rather saddening. I hope your endeavors are fruitful, red. See you soon (Or not, considering how the state of the community is right now, lmao.), and stay safe.
 
I wasn't generally expecting you to leave, but what you said is objective enough. I've been in this community for 4 years and I've changed a lot, it's disappointing that I didn't have the same energy that I used to have around 2020 to 2022. I've met lots of players who were modders, speedrunners, and lots of people who appreciate and think this is fantastic in the way a Sonic Fangame looks.

Now that the community is drastically fading into obscurity, it doesn't feel the same. I mean, trying to relive the memories makes it joyful and happier. Although, there might be a chance I could leave, then again. Depends on how the community will go on. I used to not know how to speak properly, so at least I improved later on. Hoping you wish well in life, we'll always remember you!
