Well I did read it but I don’t know how to convert a custom song to a .ogg file. I also have trouble following the instructions of how to use slade to put the custom song in a level.

Well for me it’s harder to follow written instructions rather than pictures or a video.

When I put my custom music in my level it doesn't play the music.

Does the console say anything? Did you add the music's name to the level header?

Never mind just got it working by going level header by changing the music from O_GFZ1 to GFZ1.
