why does everyone say that friday night funkin is cringe?

Yeah sure, it takes them one year and a half to push out 3 damn songs with no major coding magic involved, it must be fair or something, yeah?
You say that as if it's supposed to be easy to make new stuff that quick. As the devs themselves admitted, game development is hard. They're still a relatively small team; they're not gonna be complete speed demons at this and they likely won't be for some time. "Just be patient" is the key.

Hell, this is why I'd argue putting a timestamp on the release of a game is, at least for indie developers, kinda stupid. Not only is the process itself long, but if they strain too much to fit it all in, it could cause burn-out and/or a rushed project nobody likes. With small devteams, time limits just should not exist. Let the devs take breaks when need be and let them take all the time they beed to create their perfect game.

I think Miamoto said it best: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."

Wise post. I havent seen such post like this for a while.

Have you ever seen what will they do? You think they will do just 3 songs?

You litreally dont know that they are working on more than just 3 songs:Errect remixes for all 22 songs, better visuals, possible playable characters, and high-quality Week 8- all to be seen in a update for a game made by only 4 people.
It was an example. Why nowadays people can’t understand what’s an example and what’s not? And again, a duo of fans would be way faster.

I appreciate how you wrote a legit explanation. Usually someone would just write “development is hard, shut up”, but a PROPER answer to a complaint really is a rare thing. Truly a gigachad.
...my mind still can’t be changed however. Forgive me for that.

*ahem* Inspiration and motivation are things to keep them work. The original game's devs are a little bit limited now due to community, and again, 4 people work on it.
That would be a reasonable explanation... if 95% of the mods weren’t made to get fame, that is.

It’s for the same reason why Undertale and FNAF were considered cringe at first: the fan base. The fan base is mostly comprised of middle schoolers right now. Give it a couple years for them to mature and FNF won’t feel so cringe. The same thing happened to Undertale and FNAF
Will it be with "Among us" soon?

Among Us already had the situation where game sucked over *ahem* 2 years ago.
It still does, however they tried to make it a little bit more enjoyable.
Among Us is a fine game on its own, IMO. I just can't look at it that way because of how oversaturated it is on the internet, what with YouTube Kids or AMOGUS

Among Us VR seems interesting, though. Probably still gonna buy it when that comes out.

Coming back here to say: straight from Phantom Arcade's mouth, the reason it's been taking so long is because they're focusing harder on quality than quantity; that is, working on polishing every part they add to perfection before adding new stuff. This is especially difficult because of just how much they have on their plate, regardless of the Kickstarter money.

It's just another music game to me. Not really cringe, but way overhyped. Kind of took over KHInsider for a while too. There's like 500 different OSTs for it, way overkill if you ask me. Where's all the SRB2 and SRB2 Kart OSTs? lol
