For The Win!
I have one good fact. As Sonic, constantly jump and thok. This will help you gain a lot of speed and take sharp turns easier. Combine this technique with the whirlwind, and you can use it for extra help with platforming, or to recover a jump. I sometimes use this technique in tag with the whirlwind, I barely get IT. When I do though, 9/10 it being me falling off an edge

in the old versions of SRB2, as sonic, you could countinulessly thok. just spam the jump button while in the air.

Fang gameplay is actually made to be different from any character aiming easy platforming over speed
people tend to hate on him because of him being slow and hard to play while he actually just need to be taken a different way and when you take it like that the character is actually really decent.
Other neat fact, while im clearly not a fan about the fact tails is over powered he used to be a big piece of shit on earlier versions and same goes for knuckles
nowaday their speed got balanced to sonic speed and they control amazing

This won't apply in future large updates to SRB2, but in 2.2 backwards as Sonic when you are standing at the top of a tall ledge with a badnik below you, you can leap down and thok at the last second to combine the thok's horizontal speed with vertical height. It's a tricky, advanced technique that takes a bit of practice to pull off but is very rewarding when you do.
Back when the Multi-thok was still Sonic's ability, you could even chain this multiple times in a single jump. However, newer versions of SRB2 (Starting with 2.0 IIRC?) removed the Multi-thok from Sonic.

Actually, Sonic's Multi-Thok was removed in the last version of Final Demo.

If you want to know if a addon has a secret command, follow this steps:
1- Load the addon.
2- Open the console.
2- Press the button "pg up" until you see something like: added command "tdsecret" (this is just an example)
And done!
(Or just type help in console...)
