Adventure Sonic (SA-Sonic) Progress

Am I the only one is reminded of those death sprites from Xtreme sonic when I see these sprites, well I mean Sonic Xtreme was supposed to be the sonic adventure before sonic adventure so I guess that makes sense.

This pose is just the SA2 knockback pose with the quills posed to look like they are flat on the ground. I went this route so that we could easily transition from the hurt pose without needing a bunch of extra frames.

The wait would be worth it based on the images and gifs sent in the thread and after the two finishing it we finally can play as SA-Sonic in SRB2, The dream of getting a SA-Sonic is now true .

Yep, It's as good as done. Gameplay for Super Sonic was done pre-emptively as well, so Metalwario should have a nice idea of what exactly the gameplay he's spriting for is going to feel like in-game.

No name yet. Just a random map for me to play around with and work on when time lets me. Who knows what it'll become.

So Metalwario got the death frames done! Here's some ingame GIFs! Death animations are entirely context sensitive.

that ladies and gentlemen, is THE BEST MOD EVER

It would be cool if they made a video just showing us what all the stuff that has been done so far.
Actually yeah, it would help the new ppl that sees these thread and don't want to read through 30 pages, but I think they are really busy with The character (you two need a rest after this yk?)

Got zero notifications of these, looks nice, reminds me a lot of how crash had 50 ways to die it's kind of funny to see, the last one feels like SA2 Final Rush where you fall off you pull a shadow the hedgehog, I like that.

It feels like SEGA would've done the same if they had the time/budget. Their departure from mimmicking Mario's pose into detailed deaths with character's voice lines when they faint, Sonic catching fire as he enters earth's atmosphere, or god, those drowning animations. Ambition was a huge thing for Sonic until after Sonic Unleashed.

Just goes straight back to being dead...

All he had to do was raise his darn head...!

"No problem, 98 more lives left!"

Keep in mind the gasping animation is still missing and these will be polished to reflect it better later.

Also, deaths transition should end up smoothly transitioning into other deaths.

Man you guys did it for every scenario too, Something nice about having all these animations that just says "you suck" "you let this happen now watch sonic die" Massive props for all this extra detail it really adds to the character of this addon.

I'm gonna hope that SA-Sonic releases this september or october...
No guarantees, because there's just no telling how my life will go, but I dooooooon't think September will be possible, but maaaaybe late October. I still haven't started on Super Sonic's sprites, but those might not take as long either, so I can't guarantee anything, but I have a feeling October might be the earliest possible release window. There's deeeefinitely no way this will go beyond this year though. There's just no way unless I get completely burned out and need another long break, but I take small breaks frequently to pace myself, so that should not happen at all.
