    Got it! I'm running a lindef executor on level load that runs the script. for reasons that elude me the colors wont come out right if the level header runs the script but the executor does it perfectly so it's all good!!!

    NEAT! If all special stages are gonna be in NIGHTS mode, the new game is gonna rock! The change in scenery (inside/ outside) is well done and the backgrounds are fantastic. It took me 3 tries to get through it, which is perfect for a 2nd special stage. Good work, y'all!

    Update: Now I'm really confused. Some color codes turn black as well. I can usually pick up on patterns that would lead me to some conclusion but I'll be damned if I go through thousands of color codes trying to figure this out:/ Any information would be super appreciated!

    There's none of that. The MAINCFG & level header is one the simplest I've seen. The deletion of the music file is all it's going to take.
