Everyone, take a look at this. HERE'S a guy who knows how to do fanchars right, for once!

Hm? Sure it's a nice sprite, and it looks to be made of scratch, but the character design is like that of most fancharacters. It's nothing new..

Amazing! I'm actually wanting this.. He's looking cool and slick B) I already love this green hedgehog.. At least he ain't another Sonic..

I hate giving criticism but his legs look a little odd in perspective, other than that shading is good :D can't wait to see the final! Good luck with the wad :) we'll be waiting to play as him.

and the only wads i have done i took from srb2.srb like commanda jettysyns and crawla. so i suck at spriting

really? it looks like all fan characters, a Sonic with another color and with clothes

There's mine (of which there are a heckload), Hinote's, Clarissa's (AKA Crystal-Cool-Cat), Shrike's...The list goes on and on and on.

@Link: YUCK YUCK YUCK. Both sprite and character wise. 100% recolor much. Faster than Sonic himself? That'd break his "Fastest Thing Alive" reputation. At least he's dumber, but it won't make up for the speed he has. Even my character Glint (Which I admit myself is a bit overpowered) has more depth, and is less powerful than that. I have an alpha version of him which Hyper was supposed to help me with, but he's been inactive lately.

Anyway, back to the topic:
Sweet art style! Mind if you show me how to do it?

And I must agree with Blizzard T. there. Not recolored. At all.
I'd like to take a look at the S_SKIN file, too. I'm rather good myself at that.

but speedy is so dumb he has no idea that hes that fast so he doesnt RUN faster than Sonic himself.

There's nothing wrong with using the default Sonic sprite as the baseline for your own sprites...you just need to make sure that it's changed significantly enough. And I think this character has had that done properly.

Its still fairly unoriginal. We've had green hedgehogs before. We've had hedgehogs with shirts and shoes before. We've had hedgehogs with shades before. Nothing about this seems "new" besides the fact that it's been actually made into a WAD file.

I think his head's size isn't proportional with his body, and that the body is too wide.

RARE ENDANGERED CRAB HOG

Sorry, but that's what I think of the hands. They look like crab pincers to me. Also, the style clashes with the game's art style, and I can't shake off the "Green Sonic with clothes" thing.
