This is a small program i made on Processing 4.1.3, it allows for someone to quickly format a srb2k sprite into the format of a ring racers one. I made this app to quickly port several sprites of some joke characters I did with my friends on srb2k.
To use it, open the executable and click on the "SELECT" button to select the srb2k sprite you wish to format, and then press save to save the formatted ring racers sprite. You can then use said sprite to generate a ring racers' character mod with Kartmaker.
Srb2k sprites are smaller than ring racers ones(1.2 times smaller I THINK), so some pixel artifacts might appear on conversion(if someone knows how to minimize this issue, it would be greatly appreciated). Srb2k sprites also do not possess death sprites, so those two slots will appear as empty in the sprite sheet.
This app can be used to:
- Quickly format a srb2k sprite into a ring racers one, to use as it is, or as a base for a visual ring racers upgrade, or to quickly make a mod for both srb2k kart and ring racers;
This app does not:
- Transform .pk3 or .wad srb2k files into ring racers ones.
- Convert ring racers sprites into Srb2k ones(YET).
Source files used to generate the .exe can be found in the source directory, you can use the Processing app to compile the program yourself and modify it to your needs if you wish so :)
