The first (and probably the only) update of the year! It's been quite long since I last updated the pack, but there was plenty of stuff I wanted to add in this pack.
Firstly, this pack finally gets 2 new racers after a year long hiatus! Needle and Firey join the competition with Class C stats. I actually started working on Needle a year ago, but took a long break from her after the first rotation sprites were done, and then came back to her a year later. And for Firey, he will replace Income Tax Return Document who is no longer in the pack. i plan to change some of the voices in the next update.
I also decided to give some of older characters proper rotation sprites for those who lacked them which include Marker, Teardrop, and Liy.
2 new followers have also been added to the BFDI category, Mini Stapy and Bomby Plush!
SPECIFIC CHARACTER UPDATES:
- Marker's default color is now back to Purple, since by the time I end up updating this pack again, One would have already been defeated in the show. I also changed Marker's signpost and made his old one the new working designs signpost
- Ruby now uses her old WANTED icon from the Kart addon
- Aligned Pencil's side sprites with the others
- Added an extra hurt sound for Book (who only had 1 at the time)
- Changed Nickel's working designs signpost
- Changed Pillow's gloat sound since it was concerningly long to where it could be annoying to some players whenever it's being played multiple times.
- Hotfix on Cake's minimap icon lacking a pixel
- Hotfix on Stapy's working signpost shine not being the correct shade of white.
- Removed Income Tax Return Document
- Updated multiple rivals sets to include one of the newcomers in them
And lastly, I added a "key" texture that'll be used for the maps side of the pack, mostly to access secret areas if both packs are being used at once (That is once I update the maps version).
Did I risk messing up my art style to make this update? Yes.
Was the update worth it? Also yes.
I'm gonna consider this as a major update since this pack barely gets updates anymore, and I've changed a lot of stuff in it.
It's been a while since I've updated this pack (8 months ago). But this update adds in what I wanted in for a while.
First off, I have given EVERY single character in the pack their own alt signpost (I actually once did alt signposts for the v1 cast a year ago but never added in them in, so today I decided to retake them!). You may look for them yourself or look at the video below featuring all the alt signposts.
Next off, Fries has been given updates on most of his sprites (however, he will still use the model he had ever since I first added him into SRB2Kart).
I have also added in Fries' Ice Cream as a follower. Topped with mold and mushrooms! (Seriously though don't eat it, it's expired since August 2012).
Other Notable Changes:
- Fries & Pillow have new losing lines
- Removed 1 frame of Foldy's death sprite
- The Bug follower now bounces in place
- Fixed all minimap icons that previously had their outlines flashing
- Added MODINFO
Surely this should be the final update of the year unless if the pack is due for a hotfix.
This is Part 2 of the Followers Expansion, this adds in two MORE followers into the roster: Yoylite and Revolutionary Headphones!
Other Changes:
- Firey Jr. has new hurt and attack sounds.
- Teardrop and Nickel have a new gloat sound.
- Added 2 unused sounds for future followers.
- Fixed coloration issue on the Bug follower (the whole reason why this update started)
That should be it for the Followers expansion!
This update adds in two new followers in the BFDI category: Funny Plant and X's Basket.
This is considered Part 1 of the update since it's really small and I plan to add more followers when I feel like it. As of now, I do not plan to add any more drivers until further notice, so I will be focusing on the followers instead.
Other Changes:
- Fixed the Yoylecake icon that was missing a row of pixels below
- Gave Pencil and Match their talk sprites from Win Token Cup
- All BFDI follower SOCs have been merged into one
- Removed TPOT team follower graphics completely
- Gave Stapy 6 more talk sprites because why not
I'm not sure if this would count as the FIRST major update of the Battle for Kart Island since v1.9 had the opportunity to do so.
Anyways, This will be the first MAJOR update of Purple Face's Win Token Racers! As you can see, Stapy now has a talk sound and custom dialogs (which I may use for later).
And now for the changes:
- Purple Face can no longer be fully recolored. Instead, only his top half will be recolored as if a paint bucket fell on him.
- Marker's default color has been changed to match the events in TPOT 15.
- Foldy now has a new losing line
- Many characters had their rivals changed from the new characters that will be listed below!
A total of four new characters have been added into the roster. With two newcomers and two returners!
- Income Tax Return Document

- Announcer
- Match
And finally, this update adds in Ice Cube has an animated follower! Have her dance right at your side while playing!
Unfortunately, I decided to remove the TPOT Teams and it's category from the pack since they're too big and block most of the screen when playing with them.
Regardless of that, Have fun!
This big update adds in two returning characters from my Battle for Kart Island addon, Blocky and Fanny!
- Both characters retain their pref colors from SRB2Kart
- Fanny retains her stats
- Blocky's weight has been changed to match Sonic's
What's also exciting is that Lightning has been added as a follower! He'll carry Camera around and capture exciting moments of your play sessions!
What else has changed you may ask?
- Firey Jr. has a new death animation
- Marker no longer has a death animation, but instead has a still frame
- Liy has been tagged as a Machine
- Fixed a coloration issue with Bracelety's sign
- Woody and Eraser have their rivals altered

This update also fixes Bomby's death sprite, alters Book's large icon, and fixes some missing pixels in Stapy's sprites.
No new characters for now, Sorry!
Fun Fact: This addon has reached the current version that matches the same final version of the SRB2Kart addon!
This update adds in five of the members of the worst preforming team in TPOT, Just Not! Four of them are returners while one of them is a newcomer!!
This update adds in Bracelety, who brung in her signs as well she shows while drifting or looking. She wanted to see if Ice Cube was competing in here as well.
A new follower category has been added in as well! Which will have the rest of the BFDI-related things. Only featuring 2 followers for now:
A single Bug and Pin but in a mech suit!
