Eliminate the Thok. It makes the game feel less like the classic. It could be kept for custom characters or be replaced with the ability to use shields for abilities.

If we do this then what the hell would Sonic's advantage be over the other characters? Sure, this worked when the games were 2D, but it's completely different when you get into the 3D perspective.

A mine object that is quite hidden and will explode, hurting anyone in the vicinity. Then it will disappear from the map.

Casino slots like in Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2

Different Nights mode sprites to show who you are playing as. I even know how it could work. When a player goes into Nights mode they get put into there superform. If the player doesn't have a super form then take there special ablites side sprites and make them yellow.

Any chance that 3 laps can be made the default for circuit mode? 4 laps seems a bit too repetitive, and getting rid of a lap would encourage longer circuit courses.

On that note, something in the level header to set the default number of laps should be implemented.

In addition, the NUMLAPS command should be able to be set to "default," and if it's set to anything else, then the level header laps don't apply.

About Crushers:

1) Adjustable Crusher: instead of crush motion is from the ceiling to the floor (Linedef 43), you could set a max height for crusher, so it doesn't need to reach the ceiling to start moving down.

2) FOF Crusher: a FOF that acts like a crusher, you can define the max and min heights, and upon reaching the floor it causes a crusher noise.

3) Falling FOF: like a rock that is falling, a FOF falls down by gravity, and upon reaching the floor it causes a crusher noise or similar sound.

This isn't the discussion topic :P

Anyways
Instead of eliminating it make it slower.

Perhaps ME could use a level header that specifies the amount of emerald hunt shards needed to finish the level

Linedef Type: Continuous FOF mover - one way

Acts like a FOF mover, but moves only downward or only upward.

This linedef moves FOF from a start height to a final height, upon reaching the final height the FOF disapears, respawn at start height and restarts the movement.

Must be a two-sided linedef, tagged to a FOF control sector. Two control sectors that share this linedef define the start ceiling height and floor height of the FOF and the final ceiling height and floor height of the FOF.

The linedef length controls the speed.

EDIT (some hours later): Forget. Linedef Type 88 does it very well... >_>

I made a sample of LD-88

If MD2s are still going to be in, do you think you can use the MD2 Colormap code from ChaosZero64, and the Transparent MD2 code from DashFox? :/

When the game prints a console message for having an unidentified linedef texture, it would be more helpful if it listed which linedef has the unidentified texture.

Mere graphics and palette modifications should not make the game modified. Whether the end user decides to add it to their game or not when joining a server, the game should still be able to run normally; 3drend.dll is proof.

Make the ultimate cheat give you an error message stating your computer suxorz and it can't handle it.
