Actually, I mostly ditched SRB2 altogether. I just really really liked the idea of a 2d perspective with 3d environments. I could've done so much with it, but SRB2 IS too hard to work with for what I want. Meh, back to the notional drawing board... as usual with my stuff. ._.`

I'm obviously gonna be extremely late in replying in this topic, but oh well! o_o` My idea, as Ritz explained, was to make a Sonic CD Remix mod for SRB2. I was using new zones based on the overall feel of the original levels just taking place on Little Planet's tiny moons instead of the planet...
