Death Egg from Sonic 2 also sounded like a dark carnival, so that's basically where I drew my inspiration.

If you mean as a song for the actual level in SRB2, I'm pretty sure the devs aren't going to use it. One of those old Sonic: Emerald Quest songs Arrow composed was called Grand Eggship (the same as what the devs officially renamed Doomship) and actually sounded like something that belonged in an evil airship.
 
The Doomship cover is probably my absolute favorite of the batch, please don't change the direction of it. It's way more interesting to listen to than the original, it makes me want to make a space-pirate ship level. :p

Thats good to hear then. If the Composition does change then i would take it in with open arms :v
