It's broken in various measures in different versions. Most recent is probably the best, but it's still flaky. Website should be back up on Monday.Sky Ninja said:Stairs tool is broken. At least in the version I have. Also, why is the website down?Kaysakado said:Already done. The stairs tool.
Second.Sykotic said:Please, fix up the stair tool. Like, add options to where you can change the direction of where the slope starts and ends.

What were you thinking of for that, exactly? The direction of the stairs is determined (up to right-angle rotations) by the geometry of the sector; so there are only four possible choices, two of which you're already given.Sykotic said:Please, fix up the stair tool. But with out the stair tool, it gets pretty hard to make those curves that it can make.Oogaland said:I'm very much disinclined to fix the stair tool, since it's really just a quick hack. Making it work nicely would take a lot of effort, and it's really pretty straightforward to make steps with the gradient tools, which give you much more control of the layout to boot.

If a sector's rectangular, for example, your stairs can only really go left-to-right, right-to-left, top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top. Arbitrary directions wouldn't work well at all (and would be a nightmare to implement in the conversion tool).Sykotic said:What did you mean about the stuff in bold?
I had more than 2.Kaysakado said:You need at least two sectors for nodes to be built correctly.
I have saved a map from srb2.srbGCFreak said:Do what it says. Check your map for errors. If it has crossed linedefs or unclosed sectors, nodebuilding won't work. If you send it to me, I can fix it up for you, if you want.
