A perfect bonus means you finished with all the rings in the act. Enemies and monitors can be left.

I'm stuck on ERZ with 5 emeralds. I got past act 1 before while sacrificing a life to get the 6th emerald, and then I lose all my lives before the first ERZ2 checkpoint.

Ring monitors are necessary too.

On that note... I have everything unlocked. Duh. =P
 
Haven't been playing that much, but...

I just completed the SP campaign as Sonic with six emeralds (SS7 is...yeah). I've yet to go at it with Tails an Knuckles, though, and I haven't found any emblems in the levels due to my not looking for them.
 
Just now got through the game as Sonic, and unlocked [spoiler:e3aaf0f64e]SRB1 remake[/spoiler:e3aaf0f64e] with all emeralds, but only 1 emblem...
 
As of now, I have the game completed with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, with all emeralds each. 21 emblems currently, and I unlocked Neo Aerial Garden Zone. I have a full time attack record of 25 minutes, and I'm hoping to shave off a couple minutes in Egg Rock 2, since I completed that in about six minutes with Sonic.

Finished; beaten the game with all 3 characters, gotten the perfect bonus, the time attack bonus, all the emblems you can find, beaten Neo Aerial Garden, found the Disco Room.

Hell, I even found Blue Mountain by accident :P
