Those automatically show up on the vertices of any triangle-shaped sector, allowing you to quickly slope the floor or ceiling.

If you want to hide them, use the "Toggle Visual Vertices" action, or click this toolbar button next to the "Test Map" option:

Linedef executor tic delay no longer saves now after seeing multiple people test this only for the same result.

In the new version, when opening the second/third/or more map in one session, the editor freezes endlessly and I can't find the problem.

Oh boy, time to log my dumb problems!
I'm going to be fully honest here, I was very new to UB in the past, and I never truly understood it. Now with this, hopefully I can get back into learning map making with the tutorials. My (1st) issue is to do with color mapping. I followed the tutorial to a tee, including modifying the instructions to fit with UZB's new tag system, and it still doesn't work. It has to do with the 2nd video in SeventhSentinel's YT series on the matter. I'll post the images here.

Here they are. Something else to mention, but this could just be me being a idiot, but slopes.
Tried to do the old method of "use action 700 and scroll on the sector so it creates a slope" and found out that I needed to use the slope tab. Don't get me wrong, the new slope tab is a god-send, but I can't seem to pin it down.

It would so appreciated if I could be heard back from on this. Thanks for this awesome tool!
(P.S. I just noticed a colormap setting for sectors, but not linedefs. Does that have to do anything with this?)

EDIT: Hey future Banjo here, just fixed my own slope issue.

Gone are the days of setting a colourmap via control sector. Instead of that, you can go directly to the sector you want to be coloured and choose it's colourmap directly

Oh neat! Ok I'll go check on that. Thanks for the help!

Back with my other 2 issues.
Firstly, engine boot-up. Pressing F9 has SRB2 boot up (makes sense, I linked it as a engine) then I get a SIGSEV error message, with the game telling me that there was a memory leak issue. Any fixes on that? (Note: it's not the map. I can load SRB2 normally and run the map through there.)
Secondly, teleporting. Trying to work with teleports, or warping, so I can have a loop in the level. Any help on this?

I followed the wiki on this with the use of the transporter destination object, but it told me there was an alternative without tagging or the object, so I went for that instead. Hope this image helps.

There are a whole lot of actions and sector setups that no longer require you to stare at the wiki since they can now have their own UI (as opposed to having to be contorted to the limits of the Binary format). Read the wiki, some of the things the team had to do to make things work with format limitations is the very definition of a square peg in a round hole.

Zone Builder can be sent to retirement now unless you plan to work with the campaign maps or older reusable maps in the future.

Hello! I'm having issues with the Linux version being unable to build nodes. I've tried making a simple map with a rectangular sector and a thok barrier going around it in both UDMF and Legacy formats, and with both I get the following error when saving:

nodes.png

I have srb2.pk3 and zones.pk3 loaded as resources for both formats, and my nodebuilder configurations are set to the defaults for each format (ZenNode - Normal for Legacy; ZDBSP - UDMF Normal (no reject) for UDMF).

Is the problem on my end, or is this a quirk of the program? I can share additional details if needed.

I'm guessing you're running into a bug with SRB2 v2.1.13, which causes warping to a map to crash if it doesn't have a level header. To work around the issue, simply create a level header for the map.

I believe you still have to have an object present, but I haven't worked with teleporters for quite some time now. Hopefully you've been able to get help elsewhere in the meantime.

The script editor is not yet enabled, this will be done in a future update.

Is this normal when you use zone builder on an arm based silicon Mac?:
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with Mac or ARM, but from what I've heard the Mono build might help with that?

I believe you'll have to go into UZB's install folder, navigate to the /Compiles/Nodebuilders/ subfolder, and then edit zdbsp.cfg to remove the .exe suffix in the program = "zdbsp.exe"; line.

By the way, the Legacy option mainly exists to make map conversion (using -writetextmap) easier; I heavily discourage anyone from using it for actual map editing, as it doesn't support SRB2's many quirks in the binary format, and it will break existing binary maps when making any edits...
