Windows Vista: You got it?

XP here. Just tried to install DSL (DamnSmallLinux) on a partition. No luck.

Also, one of the reasons I won't be getting vista: Windows Content Protection and DRM

For all of you Vista users who are annoyed but that UAC "Cancel or Allow" security gadget that came with Vista, download TweakUAC from here: http://www.tweak-uac.com/what-is-tweak-uac/. It puts the UAC in "silent mode" without turning of the whole security center.

I got Vista. I don't like it, it has slowdowns and lags for no reason a lot of times. I like Windows XP much more. It doesn't have slowdowns and lag.

I don't have vista and I don't plan to get it based on what my friends have said about it, and what people have complained about in this topic.

I'm content with the computer I already have, what's better is that it never froze on me. :)

From what I've heard, Vista sucks. I use XP Media Center Edition, but I can get a free upgrade to Vista for the next 10 years, apparently. I'll probably wait for Service Pack 9-ish.

I've moved shop to Linux, (Ubuntu and Linux Mint) though I'm forced to duel boot with XP for a few games and Flash scripting. Its a real shame about the Micro$oft monopoly. Seriously though, that operating system's requirements are just too high.

I have not got Windows Vista yet. I still am using Windows XP Professional in Spanish and Windows XP Home Edition in Spanish.
