What color is transparent? I tried just manually transparenting with an editor, but it saved it with the color of it's backround. Is there a color that srb2 will see as transparent automatically?

It depends on what you're trying to do. If you're trying to make a transparent sector, make an FOF, only change it's type to "solid, transparent" or something like that. If it's a color map, the letter at the end of the bitset thing controls transparancy. a is the most transparent, while z is least transparent. I think. Perhaps vica versa...?

Either way, please explain with a little more detail. I can't help you with objects or anything custom like that.

I don't really get what you are saying, i dont speak wad.

But basically, I have my character green, with some weird grayish green around it (was originally tranparent in my image editor). I want to make the grayish green color transparent.

He's talking about TRANSPARENT, not TRANSLUCENT. Which means he's looking for the Cyan color for images.

If you need help finding the color, cyan is a default color on MSPaint. I use Paint to find my colors. It always seems to work

Exactly. Except sprites don't have semi-transparency. At all. Unless, of course, you tell them to a la the shields...

Then the shield sprites have to have a transparent background too. Otherwise, you'd still see the suare around the shield that was the original canvas.
