I'm extremely thankful for this, as I brainstormed something similar a week or so ago with some friends- and you got even more features I didn't think of, like SPB Attack support! I love it! I imagine this would be perfect for dedicated servers. Occasionally you get that one lone player who joins, and now they can show off their skills on the leaderboard for other players to see!

I do have a suggestion if this is possible at all, but when starting a round could the hud be on screen displaying a blank time ( -:--:- ) or a default time from Time Attack? Or even a simple console/chat alert to the mod being on will do! When I first loaded this I had no idea if the mod was working correct until I ran a race twice.
 
This is really cool! Just curious if it saves the times somehow in case of a server crash? I don't know if that's actually possible just not sure, being able to choose maps on your own is pretty awesome too!

Times are written to disk upon completion of the race. There is a "saving score" message in the console when this happens.
There is always a risk of failure and corruption during writes. Make frequent backups!💾
 
Does this potentially keep record of multiplayer times (like in a server?) I think that would be really cool. Lol.

Oh okay! I thought that was the case but when I rebooted the server they times disappeared but it may of been because I added some more addons
 
!Not updated Time Attack Leaderboard with a new update entry:

1.2.18 - Encore support & SPB mode separation

- Add encore support and command.
- Add server cvar lb_spb_combined <YES | no> which enables combination of SPB modes (spb, expert, KARTBIG).
- Add enabled SPB modes in bottom left of hud.
- Stats (speed, weight) is now stored for all records.
- Re-enable allowteamchange when the plugin is disabled.
- Fix indentation for number rankings in scroll mode at even 10^ intervals.
- Fix a gamemode exploit
- AFK players will now be warned 10 seconds before being moved to spectator.

Is there a possibility records could be separated by game speed? I know a couple of servers with an automated speed switch mod.

Maybe. But I don't really see why you would want to time attack on a slower speed setting. Perhaps a speed change command would suffice?
There are a some technical challenges behind supporting multiple speeds. Most notably the 1MB write limit on lua generated files.

When SPB attack is added in the server with "spbatk "off"" Leaderboards still believes SPB attack is enabled and records the run as a "SPB attack" run. Found this bug because I have SPB attack added but not enabled by default to help newbies not get assblasted by SPB Attack, but allow experienced players to enable it when they want to.

Hi again!

Seems this solved the problem, but also introduced something else. "Saving score" is now delayed until the intermission screen. Not sure if this was required in order to fix this bug, but it occurs with and without SPBAttack loaded at all

EDIT: And it seems to not save the record at all if its a score with a better time.
