SRB2 problem...

I downloaded all of my wads and my game to a disk but there are problems..
1) It Takes forever to load...
2) The music changed from a guitar-like sound to a trumpet-like sound..
3) It wont let me join servers...(see Signature)
Please help me out.

Did you copy the files to a hard drive? I have to question running the game directly off of a disk.

Um, not entirely sure about that. Use the SRB2 Launcher to make sure you're listening to oggs or midis, as they definitely have a different sound.

3) It wont let me join servers...(see Signature)

Again, not specific enough for me to take a clear guess. What computer are you playing on? Are you sure it has connection to the net?

I think it would a good idea to just copy it to a hard drive and play it on there rather than the disk. It might fix both problem 1 and problem 3, though I'm not entirely sure.

Alternatively, you just might not have any more space on your hard drive.

You do have SRB2 on your hard drive, right?

if the srb2.cfg file is in the same folder as the SRB2 exe, srb2 will try to save the netgame start save $$$.sav from the server file in the same folder, I you still want to keep SRB2 on a read-only disk, recopy the whole srb2 folder, but leave out the "srb2.cfg", so SRB2 will save downloaded wads, srb2.cfg, and $$$.sav into the home folder of the computer/user you are running it on.

Is that Midi or something? It's be pretty hard to have a completely changed music.dta by accident, as it's so freaking big.

You can't join a game with wads loaded, and even if you don't have wads loaded, joining some games auto-loads them!
As for the music, I guess Banjo let Kazooie get another solo...
