Aw man, I was playing too much FFTA and forgot about multiplayer voting! ): At least I got my Single Player votes in though. A few things I will say about the multiplayer maps in general:
1.) Most of the Match maps were way too open. If you want rail rings in your level, you have to make it just a tad less open.
2.) Some Match/CTF levels were completely lacking in some of the most basic aspects in level designing, like no team starts, or not enough starts in general (30 Minute Zone, anyone?). I know everyone wanted to make levels for the new system, but we may need to get back to the basics here!
3.) Other Match/CTF levels had ammo grouped together in one place (Glaber's Icicle Warehouse also come to mind...). While weapon ring ammo may be a minor thing compared to the weapon ring cards, a whole bunch of explosion rings grouped together is just a tiny bit cheap because one person can grab all of those ammo rings and that wouldn't leave any for the other players for approximately 30 seconds. The official Match/CTF levels are good examples of how to place ammo rings, so take a look at those more carefully.
4.) The Race level turnout was even worse than Single Player, but another problem with them was that there are so many places where you can die and places where you find yourself stopping for a couple of seconds just to avoid a cheap death, which stops the flow of the game and just makes for a total nuisance to the player.
OK, I'm done. See you in the next contest!
