It all started back in 1991 when sonic went for a stroll through greenhill zone and met docter robotnick who attacked him without even introducing himself or even saying a word. So sonic decided to kick his butt, and thats all he has ever done sice, kick Robotnicks, eggmans and eggman-NEGA's and anyone elses butt you can think of.

No, Sonic and Dr. Robotnik wanted to get mint chocolate chip ice cream, but Sonic had gotten in line before he did, and Sonic was going home to the Green Hill Zone, when the not-so-good doctor attacked and stole his ice-cream. This set Sonic off to get his ice cream back, but Dr. Robotnik moved it to South Island, where Tails found it, and ate it. This is why Dr. Robotnik took Tails hostage, until Sonic saved him.

Adventure Quest, so much to do, so little time, and way too many players at a time. (Yes this is a link.)

I recommend going for the Fighter class ASAP, and building your stat points up at level 30 or so. Also, Most of the quests have a talent for screwing you over, so be very careful. Mage and Ranger have their uses, but tend to be useless, Ninja is okay. Beastmaster owns, especially the Beast Claw attack.
