If you're sure that "Sayger" is going to disappoint you, why do you even get your hopes up?
Especially when it's been shown to you more than once that you should avoid that?

Hes been whining endlessly since the trailer.
I'm sorry, but Greg. Your arguments are holding up. Hold right? Well, like Kyasarin said. They don't give the player that much view of the objects in front of them. Meaning you would die instantly holding right.

And... OH MY. We have Rush physics! Sonic can now walk up walls going 5 miles per hour.

He had the speed shoes, I would be disappointed if he didn't.

Enemies are stepping stones for nothing important.
And when where they not? What Sonic game has challenging robot? Bomb is the only one that comes to mind.

And you can get by by.... That's RIGHT! Holding right!
Wow, same thing for Green Hill zone and Emerald Hill zone! You can beat the first stage with ease in Sonic 1&2, how about that?

Guess what? Sayger screwed up again!
Guess what you screwed your hopes up too. Serious, why expect much if you say the game will fail?

I've gotta' say. This disappoints me as usual.
Again, Why do you have your hopes up? If it disappoints you as usual.

This has more in common with Rush than the classics.
I see no Blaze, boost, tricks or Sonic saying "OW" or speaking at all.
I say it more Sonic adv 1 and 2 mixed together in a "classic" way

I now KNOW it's Sonic Rush 3.
Am I the only one who thinks Sonic Rush 1&2 was cool?

Am I the only one who thinks Sonic Rush 1&2 was cool?
I think that's besides the point. To my understanding the actual complaint was that they were given the usual "back to the roots" PR and instead got fed a game with Rush mechanics.

How accurate those complaints are, or whether or not it even matters, is up to debate of course.

Except, you counter argued his complaints a couple posts up. I don't think Greg's points have any weight on them anymore.

I now KNOW it's Sonic Rush 3.

Nah, if it was Rush, it'd be BOOST BOOST BOOST and nigh-invincibility with pits being the real killer. This is more Advance 2 with Rush physics; an exercise in trial and error, memorization, and speed over adventure. Shame, it was looking OK untill these last few days...

They should give the player more vision. You're practically blind and can't really predict what's ahead unless you've seen it before.

I'm pretty sure there's more screen off the left and right portions of that video. The camera just couldn't fit the whole TV in its view.

EDIT: It also seems that link earlier with all the leaked music got taken down. There's no music there any more :(

Seriously, wait for a demo or the game to come out to be so sure about that.
A leaked video doesn't give you the feel of playing it. :|

Momentum? WHAT MOMENTUM? I don't see any speed earning here.
...Speed Shoes?

Nah, if it was Rush, it'd be BOOST BOOST BOOST

There's literally 8 different boost pads in thirty seconds in that video. You can't tell me that the two from 1:15 to 1:20 are at all necessary. You know, they wouldn't feel the need to add so many if the acceleration wasn't god-awful. This would also make the awkward running animations (pretty much everything until full-speed) much less noticeable.

As for the field of view, it's painfully obvious that this game is meant to be played in HD. Compare the HD screens to any of the leaked 480i screens/video, and there's a pretty clear difference. Sorry, Wii owners, you guys are getting fucked.

LOOK OUT IT'S A GIGANTIC LEAK

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

By "BOOST", I meant "Hold button down to go fast and be invincible" like in rush. Advance 2 by your logic had "boost", but instead of just plowing through enemies, you just got hurt. A lot. By things you sometimes didn't see. However, the screen DID scroll as you were running faster, but in Sonic 4, it's always centered on Sonic, so you can't see shit and you just die like that one guy did to the first enemy.

Ya know in celebration of this Sonic Team Junior should make Sonic Robo Blast Fou- *shot*

Seriously though I saw the leaks. Lost Labyrinth Act 2 is gonna annoy me to heck!

You know, I think I judged this too quickly. The game looks pretty good from what I see (Beyond the first stage), but I can't call it Sonic 4. More like Sonic Advance 4 or Rush Lite, but it doesn't seem too bad. I'd get it. Even i it WASN'T like the classics, it still looks like a good title.

Yeah, the first stage is pretty boring, but I expected that. Lost Labyrinth looks like a lot of fun to play. And I don't have issues with it being called Sonic 4 either. It might not be quite as original as Sonic 2 or Sonic 3, but it's a solid game, and what matters is the content, not the name.

D00D64 said Sonic Advance 2. Which had a bunch of boost pads.... So he still hit the spot.

But yeah, there is probably more off-screen. And no, playing it on the Wii won't kill you. Rayman was ported to small screens and had a smaller view. But was just as playable.

True.

Oh, this game is also taking advantage of motion control in special stages. It looks like this setup is better then the 360's button pressing.

:P

Splash hill looks a little boring but Lost labyrinth looks awesome, I love how they brought back the wall of doom from hydrocity(or however its pronounced), but if they are reusing bosses then... Where did that one come from?

As tempting as it was for me to resist looking at those leaks, I really want to play Lost Labyrinth Zone now. To me, Act 2 looks like a challenge.

Also for the boss, I was expecting something different but, I did not see that coming.
