Netgames with routers

Yes I have a router but whenever I register my server (Sonicsaver) No one ever comes.
Once I had to wait 4 and a half hours and still no one came!
So anyone please help me cause I really always wanted to host a netgame with peoples!

That's not a valid way to check if it works.

Your server will appear on the list you get from LISTSERV even if your ports aren't forwarded correctly. If no-one's joining your game in four-and-a-half hours, then it's safe to assume that your router isn't configured correctly (unless you had wads loaded that other people don't have, but that's unlikely).
