I agree with ree-c, you might want to change the SOC around so it hurts people another way, rather than using the Thok graphic
 
Hmm, I did this a long time ago just for Ree-C.

But yeah, I've still yet to find a way to make a missile thing spawn in all the spinning frames, without harming the player who spawned it.

Just put A_SetObjectFlags in one of the spin states and make Var1 = 65542 to turn the player into a MF_MISSLE and have its player status

Then in another State (like one of the running or standing frames, or Both-) Put in A_SetObjectFlags for the Action, and make Var1 = 6

I figured this out while tinkering around with my FTH-sword.wad (which I am working on the sprites for)

Looking at those screenshots, it looks like the Thok object still does the damage, not the spinning player.
