I use MSN. Many of the previous communities I've visited have most people using it. And I hate AIM, mostly because of its butt-ugly emoticons, interface, horrible sounds, small default window size, etc. Do what I did, and switch to Trillian, so you can use MSN, AIM, YIM, and ICQ all at once, without the stupid butt-ugly interface that AIM has.

I use Trillian, personally, as AIM without all of AIM's crappy interface, smilies, and the tendency of people to change their text formatting. (10 pt Verdana for the win.)

To me, bloated I don't care about. As long as it doesn't make my eyes bleed, I'm good. AIM's official client makes my eyes bleed.
