With wads, you can insert a little custom image that replaces one in game. Socs can make new items, which require sprites that you can provide, which makes the sprite not replace something in game. *evil laugh*

Ya know what, with a soc, you should make it so that the hurt item spawned use a "n00b repellent" graphic.

Instead of spawning a spectator sling item, you could have it spawn THZ turret bullets, then replace the sprites of the explosion with a "n00b repelent" brand spray can.
