CodeWeavers makes the commercial version of WINE. Which is normally $70. It allows you to play high quality windows games on a Intel Mac or Linux system. Posted this because I know some people here prefer using Linux or Mac systems.

Say, what advantage does this have over the free WINE? I'm downloading this right now for Linux, but I'm just wondering if it's all worth it considering that, although WINE is incomplete, it's making steady progress.

Given that you're getting a free serial for a $70 product, the advantage is that you just got $70 worth of software for free, and on the off-chance that it's better than WINE...You got it for free.
