Yay, a RPZ that doesn't suck eggs. But, I feel the name RPZ isn't that fitting anymore, so feel free to make a suggestion! (PLease? ;_;)

Also, as you can see in the top left corner, the stages have meed moved to MAPD<Whatever>. This is to stop the replacement of the official SRB2 maps. Also, The next beta WILL have new SOCs. :D

- Springy bomb: A bomb that springs at you, duh.
- Hothead: Slow moving crawla-type enemy that has a flamethrower.
- White spring: In between blue & yellow's power
- Palm tree scenery object

BETA 3 has been released!!!

Including...

- Rocky falls zone 1, 2, and 3
- Royal palace zone 2, and 3 (Soon to be re textured in beta 4)
- NEW ZONE: Moonlit Mountain zone 1
- NEW ZONE: Volcanic pools zone act 1 (With a new enemy, Hothead.) (Unfinished and short, but with an exit)
- Twisted Temple zone act 1, with many reported glitches fixed. (And a new enemy, the springing bomb)
- Special stages: 1st and 5th, the 7th one will be temporarily removed due to it not being given the new special stage treatment.

I just gave this a shot and to avoid past criticism here is my own :

First off, Rocky Falls Zone was great. The worst part is Rocky Falls Zone 2's beginning. Starting me off in water, not to mention dark water, is not a good way to play as Sonic. If it wasn't for the incredibly large amount of air bubbles around, I probably would have game overed right then and there. It was next to impossible to figure out what I had to do, because there was no indication and the water was so dark I couldn't see any springs. This is also a problem later on when I got trapped in a very shallow river. I eventually ran into a blue spring by running along the edge of the river.

I got lost in almost every level very frequently, whether it was trying to find the single spring you put that enables me to proceed, or the rooms were so dark that I couldn't even see that death was directly below me. I really how you make the darkened areas a little brighter.

On your 2D sections, I thought the conveyor belt idea was pretty neat, but took me a second to get use to. However, Twisted Temple's final 2D area is not very forgiving. There is one flame that is near impossible for Sonic to jump over, and the part with the bottomless pit near the end gives no indication there are chains to grab onto. I took a thok of faith and luckily grabbed onto one, but I suggest adding one more pillar so people don't get confused and think it's just a thok of faith area.

Overall, I find that not enough testing with Sonic was done on these levels, as some areas are near impossible for Sonic. Please work on this.

Also, Tails' path in Royal Palace Zone 2 is a lot easier with Sonic than taking Sonic's path with Sonic.

I know, right. Well anyway, here is a suggestion, at the area with the 2D conveyor belt, when you get to the teleport, make it so an arrow appears pointing out of the building.

Royal Palace Zone is SCRAPPED as of the upcoming beta 4. I really am embarrassed about it and I really, really don't want to remake it.

What would replace it, you ask? Well, I realized that there are absolutely no casino themed zones that I know of. I currently have Neon Paradise as a pending name (That means I am open for suggestions!), and no work done on it currently. I plan on using this as the music for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjMheEmcGgQ

EDIT: and this for act 2. :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or0Fj9LnfLw&feature=related

I like that name, it's pretty good. But maybe tweak it a bit; how about Neon Heaven or Neon Utopia or Glowing Paradise or Glowing Heaven or Phosphorific Paradise?(wait, I think that's too long for the title)

I actually like the Neon part of it, but Paradise sounds a bit generic. Then again, what would be MORE generic than Neon Casino?

Regarding the new beta, I didn't have the time for a proper playthrough yet, but I've noticed that both VPZ and TTZ are a pain to the eye. In both cases, textures look rather randomly slapped together instead of though-out. In return, that makes the whole level look like you threw a random bunch of ideas together and called it a level. I can't really tell you how to fix it, but I wanted to note that in their current state, both don't look very good.

Well, I gave this a shot, and while the levels weren't particularly great, overall it wasn't bad at all. I quite liked some of the gimmicks used in what little there was of the lava stage, with the erupting volcano and changing lava level. On the negative, though, the 2D sections in TTZ are basically unplayable, as the 2D mode physics and viewpoint really don't allow the player any chance to control or see what's going on. It was a complete Game Over instantly when the rest of the pack wasn't anything particularly difficult. I cheated past the first one to get to the second one and die arbitrarily to that one as well, making me just quit.

The shallow river I mentioned was in Moonlit Mountain. I later went back and found blue springs were only back at the beginning. Instead, make a little indent in the wall that the player can see so they know they can jump back out of the water. Also, a lot of these stages use springs a little more than I would like. It really slows down gameplay in some cases. Moonlit Mountain really over used springs, IMO.
