Can't host/join netgames. Help please! :cry:

Until a little while ago, I could host and join netgames fairly easily. One day I noticed when I tried to host it wouldnt connect with the Master Server, then I saw that when I searched for net-games they wouldn't come up. SRB2 says something like Timeout on Master Server, cannot connect. Help!

B) You could be banned for some reason.
A) I really don't believe the Master Server is down since as I type people are playing an SRB2 net-game.
B)I really don't think I am banned. I barely ever host netgames...Like maybe once or twice excluding the times it was strictly me and Zeshiro. I've also never hosted an RP netgame or one filled with foul language or basically anything banable.

I know you were trying to help Shuffle...But ya didn't... :|

New firewall?

New connection?
I had troubles with connecting at first when I switched connections.
 
So did I.

If you have anything extra on your connection, like a wireless router, disconnect that.
 
I couldnt connect in the first place. It is highly annoying.

Well, I do feel for you since you never could connect but what am I supposed to feel, grateful? Anyway, No I don't have a new Firewall or connection or new anything. I'm using the same exact thing I have always been using but for some reason I just can't connect anymore...
 
For some reason, I'm getting this problem as well. I've been able to join netgames on the computer with my stable connection until yesterday. Strangely, I've still been able to get on with my laptop, but I loathe playing online games on that, what with the three hundred errors I keep getting that shut down my game. The whole situation has really been ticking me off.

Well, I'm not banned, just as I thought, but I appreciate you posting that Logan. It could quite possibly help other people with the same problem. Never the less, I still can't host/ join a netgame. I have no idea why. *Sigh* I have a feeling everyone else will find a solution to the problem before I do... :|
 
Ahem, I'm not sure If this counts as a double post, but nobody's posted anything in a while. It seems my computer is recovering from whatever was up it's butt and I think my netgame compatibility is SLOWLY coming back...Since my last post, I've been in one five minute long sever, one 10 minute long server, and hosted once, for a split second... Im hoping it gets back to normal eventually and also that everyone else can get solutions for their netgaming problems. :|
 
Yes, well, Roleplay servers are not allowed on the Master Server. The Master Server is meant for people who actually want to play the game like it's meant to be played.
 
I don't know how "the server" is deserted. We've been having quite a few games lately.
