Alternatives to lua

SRB2 also uses SOC, short for Sonic Object Configuration. It is not a programming language like Lua, rather it is an indexing language SRB2 mods can use to create custom objects, define level parameters, and even make cutscenes. While much easier to use or learn, it is nowhere near as powerful as Lua.

Lua is the only programming language SRB2 actually supports. SOC is an indexing language, but can still be used to make mods in a much more limited capacity.

You can also use C code if you're doing an executable mod but that's highly not recommended.
