Anyway, Knuckles CAN go super, but he just hasn't a reason to use them a second time so far.

knuckles and tails CAN go super.

but they don't, and here is why:

Knuckles has a substandard superform, and has no need to go super anymore.

tails needs the super emeralds to go super, and the super emeralds have been removed from the sonic games. Hence, tails can go super no more.

Actually, that is Mecha Sonic, who Sonic defeats once in Sonic 2.

...dude, those are two different robots. You ever play adventure? You see them in separate containers at eggman's base.

Silver Sonic = doesn't exist except for SoA Sonic 2 GG manuals and Archie comics IIRC
Mecha Sonic = Sonic 2, Sonic 2 (8-bit) and Sonic & Knuckles ONLY
Metal Sonic = Sonic CD, Sonic Triple Trouble, Chaotix, Sonic R, Sonic the Fighters and so on.

And Prime, the two robots in the Final Egg capsules are Mecha Sonic and Metal Sonic, which are the only robot Sonics in the Sonic series.

Now can we please get back on topic? Don't make me have to spill the page-long thesis on how there are only two robot Sonics.

Dark, I feel what I've always felt - it lacks shading. But the original game did too. Meh.
