Sonic Jam doesn't work properly with SSF anyway unless you turn bios off.

Most emulators have a No Bios option. But save states are dependant on whether you have it or not, so if you save a state with the Bios and then lose your copy of them, you're screwed.

I know this from experience, as I suddenly had to start Final Fantasy II all over again when I moved to Maryland.
