I'll Begin

If you have the choice, I'd avoid PC at all costs. Sadly, it's my only choice, but I think I JUST meet the specifications.
Yeah, my only choice too...haven't owned a game system since N64 lol.If you have the choice, I'd avoid PC at all costs. Sadly, it's my only choice, but I think I JUST meet the specifications.
That's exactly my point though. The specs for this game are so ridiculous that it's just a safer option to get a console version. Otherwise, you're pretty much right, unless we're talking shitty console ports.Actually, in most cases, if you have the choice, the PC version is always the way to go. Cheaper titles, higher resolutions, higher framerates, better image quality (more AA and AF choices), superior control variety (in the rare case mouse-and-keyboard isn't superior, you always have the option of using gamepads, including the Xbox 360's or PS3's), potential mod-ability of the games in question, etc etc.
The thing that has people worried in this case is the high system requirements (for which mine handily sails past Recommended) and the relatively unknown company doing the port job (although they ported Virtua Tennis 4, too, which turned out okay). I'll be able to tell you how well-founded those fears are come Friday.
Wow, awesome, can you let us know your first impressions? Also, to me it seemed like the game would be pretty short, judging from the lengths of some of the acts. Once you play a bit more could you confirm/deny this?Gamestop opens at 10AM, but I went in at 9:52AM and I was still allowed in. So it seems I'm the first here who managed to buy the game.
Now brb, playing Sonic Generations on my PS3.

Welp! Time to torrent Sonic Generations!
. . .but this is probably some of the best gameplay since Sonic3&K.
