[Open Assets] Account System 1.4

SabreTheWolf submitted a new resource:

Account System - Allows users to login/register an account within a co-op game.

The lua mod that enables users to login/register an account to allow data synchronization to the server. When players log out their rings, scores and lives reset back to zero and starting from scratch.

To read the list of commands just type in chat "!help" and you'll receive a list of commands in console.

Fair warning: Entering !login or !resetdata will cause the player to die on the clientside. The server still sees you as "Alive", it's for resyncing your game...

So this only works with Dedicated Servers and not Listed Servers??
Unfortunately it only works on dedicated servers. If I could find a solution to this I could see about putting an update to it but for now the mod only works with dedicated servers.

Thats a real shame, also i can feel like a little exploity moment when you use !login to reload some previous currency like transfering rings and lives to next acts to abuse super forms (in case they have all emeralds)

That got me a real great idea for the next update today. Make it so that attempting to use login again would cancel it.
 
I tried to use this mostly for the Kingdom Hearts Blast Addon to use it as a Saving Progress System to keep players their lives and score (working as XP) but still wishing this can work along Listed Servers
 
Hello Sabre The Wolf! I'm rewriting your script right now and after that I'll create scripts for the buttons so that they send sayto commands and so, I called the add-on SabreSystem, and in the code all accounts are called SabreAccount or SabreAccounts, too, and in the files now it's just SabreAccounts.dat and you understand why I did it, but in order for the add-on I did not conflict with others who will just have Accounts.dat or if a person installs my addon and yours so that there would be no chaos with accounts and one would not break another, because then I will add things that are optional for the admin as an example, these are local emeralds, well, that is, players collect tokens and also get an emerald! and others will not receive it, so the Special Stage will be removed from the Coop mod, but if you disable this system, then the players will keep their emeralds, but they will become more expensive! so with everything else, as an example, the administrator turns this function back on and everyone has the same emeralds that they had.[/COLOR]

yes, this post is longer than the last one with a simple idea and yes, I just started working on the project right now due to the fact that I didn't have free time before, and yes, all the sprites will be original, well, I can probably use frames from KC, but this is unlikely.

Ah, cool. Btw the new update now has admin commands to edit accounts.
 
by the way, should I add Bastardized SHA1 and HMAC-SHA1 Routines in Pure Lua to PK3 or not?
