Fred The Movie

Seriously is this what some companies are coming to? Taking people off Youtube and making movies out of them? I mean a Fred movie would probably be a comedy, but what would the storyline be? I just don't think it would translate well to the big screen.

They've made movies out of five minute sketches on variety shows plenty of times before (the MacGruber movie comes to mind), so it's entirely possible to stretch these types of things into feature-length films.

But I share the same concern you do: Is it worth it to make a movie based upon short YouTube videos? That's where I'm skeptical as well.

Well, with MacGruber, it's pretty obvious that it would be translated into a full-length action film parody. It already had the footwork, it just needed expansion. Fred doesn't even have a footwork to begin with, so it's a matter of turning nothing into something.

Plus, it's being made by Nickelodeon. I doubt they have the skills to pull it off.

The only Nickelodeon movie I ever liked was the Avatar finale.

Fred the movie............excuse me while I go vomit on my TV.

This is what happened: Now introducing Fred the movie! an amazing new movie in which-*turns TV off in disgust.*

Oh maybe because his other job in the WWE is stuck between a rock and a hard place, so to say? Maybe because he needs money? I'm not sure which, but the movie overall was funny.

I see how it is now Nickelodeon, you finally decide to do something awesome and air Invader Zim again, but you just had to bring balance to your fail by making this..?

What?? Fred is already on Nick... I have it recorded on my AT&T U-Verse... its better if you can record than just watch at theatre. Then you can watch it whenever you want.

Fred the Movie just plain sucked. From what I saw, it was barfing everywhere and editing that is NOTHING like the videos he did his self. His voice pitch is screwed up. EVERYTHING JUST PLAIN SUCKS! Nick is such a fail these days.

nnickz faizl1

I saw parts of it(More like the ending) It was really weird.
The voice pitch was not messed up. It was obviously toned down for TV viewers. Most people probably didn't want a screaming 14(?) year old in front of them.

John Cena is a popular kids(Adults?) star. I think it was a good choice for him. Rack in more viewers I guess?

That's exactly why it was good. The Adult Party Cartoon revival they tried flopped because it wasn't on Nick. They made their best stuff when they had to try to get away with it. Without any limits, it was just raunchy humor that really wasn't all too good.

(Un?)Fortunately I never saw Adult Party. But I did here how kinky it got. But I did like how they managed to keep the original cartoon the way it was while being under limits. That's why I liked it so much. It was pretty crude, but no so much that it was inappropriate.

On-topic, I raged that I forgot to Tivo this movie. I'm not a fan, but of course I wanted to see how it turned out!

You can probably find it on YouTube, or something.
