Turns out I left in a pretty serious bug all the way back in february that would absolutely destroy your FPS in a select few stages, haha. Please don't kill me, I added some small stuff as compensation!

Changes:
  • You can now use shields by pressing jump in the air! Please keep in mind you can use either the shield's ability OR your spike bounce, not both simultaneously.
  • Added kirby support! The slime should now give kirby the ball ability.

Tweaks:
  • Signifficantly reduced the slime's jump delay. You should now start jumping over twice as fast as before!

Fixes:
  • Fixed a serious performance issue where unrelated objects colliding in a map would absolutely destroy the game's performance. Whoops.
  • The slime's eyes should now properly shrink and enlarge along with him when changing scales (but he'll still be massively YEETED when using the grounded spike ball dash, because I found that too funny to fix)
  • The lullaby played when 3 slimes sleep close to other another should hopefully no longer cause players to crash...hopefully.

Tweaks:
  • Allowed the slime to become a shield for players holding either CUSTOM 1 or TOSS FLAG instead of only one or the other
    • It was a bit of a silly change in hindsight
Changes:
  • The slime can spin metal sonic out by simply jumping into him even without being in spike ball form
  • The grounded spike ball's tackle should no longer overwrite your speed entirely when it's launched, meaning the faster you are running, the faster you will be boosted forward!
  • Changed the hold button to request a slime shield from TOSS FLAG to CUSTOM 1. Players now need to hold CUSTOM 1 for a slime to become their shield.
  • The slime shield can now reflect almost any projectile thrown at it with a shield pulse!Time it just right and reflect fang's corks or brak's missiles right back at them!
    • The reflect also works with thrown weapons. All weapons besides rail rings will be reflected, while rails just revert back to regular red rings.

Tweaks:
  • The vertical wall bounce boost granted by speed shoes has been slightly buffed

Fixes:
  • The slime shield should no longer block a friendly Amy's hearts, Fang's cork gun, or friendly ring slinger projectiles
  • Slimed enemies using a non-default color palette (like metal sonic) should no longer revert to green after the slime on them wears off
  • Cool!

  • Speed shoes will now allow the slime to get more vertical momentum on wall bounces, and go faster in the ground with spike boosts
