Saturn Island [DEMO]

Saturn Island [DEMO] 1.2.1

One of the 2 or 3 map packs I would call good
Top tier all around!

While this is just a demo, I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality and level design in these 3 levels so far. It's not exactly common that I play a map pack where I can easily tell where I'm supposed to be going, and nothing feels like it either is very short or drags on for too long. Usually most custom levels tend to be very hard to follow, but not these ones. Great stuff. Very promising.

I can already see this being on the Top 5 for the best maps on The Message Board

A solid start to a promising pack, though Azure Garden and Sunk Sea has not yet received a lot of changes, they still play well and look good even though they only use content that came with the game.

Since the logs talk about UDMF starting to be used, it would be time to look at some of the disjointed sloped structures and tie them together (with vertices and native sloping). That is my opinion anyway regarding what is low hanging fruit.

Honestly very good level pack and it has great potential with great textures and level design. It deserves a solid 9/10.

I like this mod and completed it rarely quickly, probably in a few minutes.
Hopefully this mod gets an update so I can redownload it for more fun.

probably one of the best mappacks on the mb right now, level design flows well and the map look great
3rd zone could use some work (some of the "reward" paths distracted me a bit) , but as a package it's really good!

You've improved in your level design! Azure Garden is a fine starter level, even though I think it might be a tad short, and Sunk Sea is very solid overall.

The music files are far too big and should be reduced for an update though.

This is a set of extremely well built levels! Azure Garden and Sunk Sea are very well designed and decorated. Your improvement over the years is palpable, and it shows in the opening three levels. Even if Farland Plateau is a bit dated at this point, you have a great sense of gameplay flow in SRB2, and amazing skills decorating a scene.
Also I noticed Jello Jungle hidden here too :threat:

Something you should keep in mind, and this is purely a visual thing, is that your level borders (thok barriers) are often too thin and jagged to make sense out of real geometry. When building them, think "How does this look as a 3 dimensional structure" and that should help them not look so strange.

Gameplay wise I frequently noticed some strangely jagged platforms that are hard to platform on, or would catch me in the middle of gameplay. This is just a matter of fleshing out the geometry a bit more.

Gret work, and Welcome to releases!
