Who finish the full game, this mod/port is pretty good!
The only thing it REALLY bothers me is the fact that when am put cd track am have to change all the time
(Cause am prefer the Japan version but relax am like the American version too)

Holy peak. Having the clones spawn adds such a new light to the special stages and forces you to actually plan out you next move. While there are a few things to fully iron out, this mod is probably one of the best Special Stage mods I've played. Great and challenging stuff!

Big fan of a lot of the changes made here, whether it be the color and sprite changes, or the brand new Silver emerald ability!

My only two complaints are the addition of looking up making controls a bit complex, and Orange springs displaying the "10" sprite when hit as if they were a bumper.

It's nice to see this mod picked up again, good job with the tweaks.

For [Open Assets] Super Mystic Sonic [SMSreborn v3-2: Boundless] in Characters
This is an Absolutely Amazing, well designed character mod.

1 - First, the way you managed balancing an "overpowered moveset" like this is REALLY impressive on its own. Having to learn and master the moveset, AND ACTUALLY TAKING SKILL! Great character design on that point alone.

2 - The Artwork Looks great and is charming, And is pared well with all the visual effects. mixing sonic and dragon ball works amazingly.

3 - adding a custom menu helps a ton. Customization is a genius move, and makes it more personal, which can really help players feel more comfortable with the controls and/or make there SMS look cooler depending on their tastes.

4 - The only downside for me is that the amount of moves makes it feel a little crowded. And can be a little tricky on controller some times. But doesn't ruin the experience much.

But overall really, REALLY well put together, and makes you feel like your playing as, THEE, sonic the hedgehog.

Alright,

1 - first off, these characters don't feel finished, especially "maril" missing sprite detail, like standing near an edge, and the flying only having one sprite and not multiple rotations.

2 - Abilities are basic, which is fine. "Specki's" bounce/stomp combo would be pared better if he was faster, as his top speed is slow. "maril's" flight is overpowered making "Specki" not even worth playing. The flight cancel is a great tool however.

Overall these characters are not for me. I can tell you put a lot of work into these though. hope to see you improve over time. have a good one!

Deleted my previous and rather harsh response to this review to think of it in a new light.

I appreciate you for trying out speckichars and giving your own honest opinion on it, and I'd like to clarify some things in a better way.

Both the characters aren't finished, and it's more likely they'll never truly be finished in my eyes, even if they seem so in another's.
Maril's missing a lot of sprites since she was carried over from another unfinished project of mine, so she only has single sprite rotations in various sprites. (even though it adds to the charm a bit :P)

Another thing I mentioned rather rudely was how Specki is transfem due to her trans flag wave. While this is true, I could see why you could've interpreted it as a FtM transition rather than a MtF transition, explaining your use of "his" and "he" in your review. I would like to correct myself for boldly saying that the trans flag confirms she's female, when it could've been the other way around.

Both characters are definitely different, and are both very much simple in their own ways, but this is intentional so they could be played by anyone and everyone without issues. They both take design cues from Sonic, and Mario games specifically, making one seem more broken than the other, or the other way around. I really appreciate your suggestions, and Specki is definitely going to be a slight bit faster in v1.2. Maril's flight being broken is something that I've joked about w/ others, and it's 100% intentional! You can prefer her over Specki without any issues. But there's people out there that find more enjoyment in Specki than Maril, it all comes to preference.

It's ok that the characters aren't for you, and you clearly acknowledged that I put a lot of work into both Specki and Maril, and I accept this review with sincere apologies. The style likely isn't going to change anytime soon (if at all), but I hope people can look at it in a different way than just "mspaint character w/ meh abilities." It would really help keep me motivated to work on them y'know. :P
