The Spindash is considered one of the most important and iconic moves in Sonic games. But, do you ever use it in SRB2 except for when you need to get past a required obstacle? Or when you do use it outside of its required moments, it feels like unreliable and not worth your time?
Introducing the Useful Spindash:
What does it do? Not a lot. Except it actually lets you turn while you're spinning instead of careening in a straight line at the mercy of any hills you hit.
It won't turn on a dime, but now you can actually redirect the momentum you build up with the Spindash, allowing you to get a lot farther with it than you normally would. You aren't just trying to nudge from side to side anymore.
It's even more noticible if you're using a momentum mod with it.
I've also added a visual indication of how much you've charged up the Spindash. Normally when you start revving up the Spindash just puts out a lot of dust at the start, but now it'll build up to it instead of being full at the start.
Also made sure it still worked underwater. :P
Got a custom character with a Spindash? It'll work for them too so long as it's the same Spindash as Sonic's, Tails's, and Knuckles's, including the added rev-up special effects. Don't worry if your custom character uses a different particle effect though. The script won't change the particles if the custom skin has
Hope you all enjoy my first mod!
