XWE problem- Limited Account

Does XWE installation require administrative access to work properly, because on my home computer I installed it on an administrative account with no problem but when I install it on this computer I get an error message saying: "Failed to create key: .WAD" but it still opens up, and when it opens up I get another error saying: "List index is out of bounds (0)", it's also a different version then the one on my other computer, this one is the latest version, my home computer has an earlier version. This computer is Windows Xp Media Center, the other one at home is Home Edition, I also opened a wad before the main IWAD was setup.
