Bots. That is why I don't set my e-mail address to Public on message boards. I like my webmail account to be free of spam, thank you very much. And my ISP e-mail account is littered with spam and is incredibly slow and unreliable.

They are bots. They generate random names with the sole purpose of spamming a link. They don't even bother to activate the account, even.
