This deserves its own topic.

Because it was frikken amazing.

McCoy and Scotty totally stole the show. The movie was absolutely amazing. Best movie I've seen since Revenge of the Sith.

I just saw the movie and I feel dizzy as hell. On a different note, I did like the movie also. I didn't really know much about star trek but I did understand the movies plot really well. I really loved the comedy it offered. so all in all, the movie was awesome.

What I liked most about the movie is that it had lots for pre-existing Trekkies as well as for the new demographic.

McCoy: "Damnit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a physicist!"

I absolutely refuse to believe that it is any good until I see it myself.

And I fully expect to hate every second of it.

Data should not be alive.

But he died in Nemesis. This should not be undone. It was a perfect and fitting death for an awesome character, and undoing that only serves to undermine him.

Justified, data was only in Next generation, not original series, therefore, he died in the future.

I don't remember Data being in the movie.. Anyway, impressive movie! I'm very surprised at how well it turned out. I found it interesting that Scotty killed admiral Archer's beagle in a transporter accident. That doesn't fit the time line at all anyway though...
