http://dw.sepwich.com/files/SRB2Lite.zip - 12.4 MB (13,031,582 bytes)
http://ssntails.sepwich.com/Srb2win.zip - Updated EXE. Put this in your SRB2 folder after downloading SRB2Lite. It will overwrite the old EXE.

SRB2Lite is just like the normal SRB2 download from the main site, but all of the OGG Vorbis music and other non-essential files (Other than the MIDI music) are removed. This greatly decreases the filesize, allowing users on slower connections to be able to download SRB2 without having to wait half of a day.

Also, if you already have 1.09.4, you do not need to download this; the version you already have is better than this one.

Oops, I probably should've removed that request for a better host after DW gave me one. Thanks anyways though, TDA.

My server is European anyway, which means people living in Europe get it faster from me. Sepwich is still faster than most places I use, though.

Well, I got SRB2 down to 4MB (when zipped), but I'm not going to post it because it's more of a hazard than a help. :P
Though, if you are adventurous and want to try it, you can always PM me, though I doubt anyone will..

I'd rather not see a Lite version, because it will inevitably end up floating around somewhere, getting put up on someone's site, and then some place like Caiman Games will get ahold of it, and post that for download to the masses rather than the original version.

...And then we get messageboard posts, magazine articles, G4TV spots running with MIDI, and e-mails about how much the music sucks and why we don't use digital...

SSN is right.
You should leave a message as intro like:

"This is only for people who can´t play netgames fast enough because they have slow connections. Go to www.srb2.org to get the normal version!"

This is VERY handy of you FuriousFox. I remember back when i download SRB2 on my old Dial-Up Connection, it literally took 2 and a half hours...this will be such a big relief for dial up users. Props to you man!
