How do i edit the "models.dat" file?

I just downloaded the new jeck jim's models update, and i used the "patch version" but since the sa2 model isn't loaded by default, i have to edit the models.dat file myself, though i'm not sure how, is there a special program for it? do i open it up with notepad?

models.dat is a simple text file with a different format. You can use Notepad.
