SRB2 download is a Self-Extracting (EXE) zip file. Which by default Unzips the game to the same place that the Self-Extracting (EXE) zip file is in. Example I download FinalDemo1094.exe in my download folder then run FinalDemo1094.exe in my download and run-through the so called install without changing anything then the game will be in my download folder. Note the game does not make its own folder so the files will be in that folder. You can right click anywhere in the file to arrange the file. I like to arrange by type of file so all of my wads are in the same place. And there is no reason to make two topic. You can delete you other topic
Here is the list of the Consle Commands

And typing fishbake makes you lose all of your Chaos Emeralds.

In addition, you run SRB2Win.exe (sometimes just SRB2Win, depending on your settings) to start the game up.

Wads half to be in the same file as SRB2 and not in its own file and you can not make a file for wads in the SRB2 file. The srb2 launcher runs the game and the wads form the same file.

partly wrong, the Wad files have to be in same folder where SRB2<whateverversion>.exe, or in your home folder/srb2 (for Windows NT, this is c:\Documents and Settings\<username>\srb2, on nix systems, /home/<username>/srb2

SRB2 also searchs inside every sub-folder of both folders for the the wad files

You Must Know these Consle Commands Newbies or else

startrings (number)
startlives (number)
Kick (Player)
Ban (Player)

Making a topic like this is incredibly unorganized and makes it impossible to find anything you might want to know. Why don't you people just edit STARS?

Heres a hint for newboeis: strafe. Strafe is a way you can move(It's alot faster too). WASD are the default keys for strafe. Q is to spindash and the mouse is for jumping and twring rings(you should be avle too find out how). Its good in CTF,Team Match and Match.

To add to this method, I prefer to turn on the "Always Mouselook" option and make the Left Shift key the un-mouselook button. Remember, rail rings can be the most powerful weapons when used for sniping. You will need mouselook to accomplish this.

Why not just let newbies just figure this stuff out on there own?

It took me two months to figure out there was an "Always mouselook" option. =P

Multiplayer netgame information:

To host you must have set "advertise on internet" to yes, unless you want to play a private netgame. To check if your server is on, type in console: listserv. If your server name is on the list that apears, you have succesfully hosted your server. A tip while hosting is to press the "pause" button when somebody joins. This will prevent a joiner getting kicked by a consisety faillure.

To join somebody's game, you must never have wads loaded. Not even when the server DOES have wads loaded. The easiest way to join a server is just to use "join (search)" option, but the best way is to join somebody's game by typing in their IP address.

Again, why don't you do the newbies a favor and put this information in STARS? Putting it in a single thread is completely defeating the purpose. It doesn't "help" them at all, it's just a bunch of disorganised posts. Completely impossible to find anything relevant to what you want to know.
