Duplicate Going too fast don't trigger control sector

A glitch found quite a long time ago.
Basically you can skip a control sector if you go so fast that you travel the whole sector within the same tic. It's easier to replicate with Metal sonic's boost where it can be problematic with thin sector(64 units is thin enough).

The map(shown on the gif) should be self-explanatory, walk to end the level or thok to skip the sector(which is 58 units)

Wouldn't the simple solution be to make a bigger sector? I don't imagine anyone would use a sector that small for a level's ending

It's not only level ending but every control sector.
Not everything can be resized without breaking something or feeling strange.

It's tempting to not make any compromises, but that won't make engine limitations go away. For example, there have been several cases of the game having rendering glitches with specific vertex/line placements and their resulting nodes. While you can blame the engine's faults in such cases and pray for a fix, it won't magically make the issue go away immediately, so it's better to put in a little bit of effort and try to avoid the glitches. In the case of level endings, it's common practice to make every accessible sector beyond the sign a level-ending sector.

Otherwise, this is a duplicate of https://mb.srb2.org/threads/2-2-has-issues-with-trigger-zones.26970/ anyway.
